Welcome

First of all, I want to thank you for choosing one of the books from this series of 100 days - 100 questions. By purchasing this book, you’ve taken an important first step on a personal journey that can bring you greater insight, growth, and clarity. It’s a journey that may sometimes be challenging, but one that will bring you closer to yourself – and that’s what makes it so valuable.

These books are specifically designed to challenge you, make you think, and hold up a mirror. Each book contains 100 questions on various themes such as:

Who do I think I am?

Am I living my own truth?

What does happiness mean to me?

Am I the parent I want to be?

The questions encourage you to get to know yourself better and gain deeper insights into who you truly are.

These books don’t offer ready-made answers. They provide questions – and that’s where the power lies. There is no right or wrong answer, only awareness. And that’s the first step toward consciousness and personal growth.

To help you get the most out of your daily reflections, I’ve put together this page with extra tips and guidance. Whether you’re seeking more self-awareness, balance, or trying to discover how to live closer to your own truth, I’m here to support you throughout this process.

Here are a few tips to help you answer the questions:

Create a quiet moment Take time each day to reflect on the question and your answer.

Be honest with yourself – Write down what truly comes to mind, without censoring yourself.

Let the questions challenge you – Some questions may push you or evoke uncomfortable feelings, but this can lead to valuable insights.

Give yourself space – It’s not a race; you don’t need to have all the answers right away. The process of reflection is valuable in itself.

These 100 days and questions invite you to discover what lies within you. The answers you seek are already inside – this book helps bring them to the surface.

Go for it, and let each day bring you one step closer to who you truly are.

Warm regards,

Joost Walraven

Daily reflection tips:

  • Create a calm space: Before you begin, make sure you have a place where you won’t be disturbed. This is your time for reflection, a moment to connect with your thoughts and feelings.

  • Start with breathing exercises: Before picking up your pen, take a few deep breaths. Focus on your breathing and let go of any distractions from the day. This will bring you into a receptive and reflective state.

  • Write without judgment: Whatever comes to mind, write it down. Let your pen flow without thinking about whether you are doing it "right." The goal is to be honest, not to give a perfect answer.

  • Use a time limit: Give yourself 5-10 minutes each day to reflect on the day's question. This will help you stay focused and make the reflection manageable, even in a busy schedule.

  • Let go of what you know: Approach each question with an open mind, as if you are getting to know yourself for the first time. Imagine you know nothing about yourself and be curious about your own answers.

Deeper exploration:

  • Visualization: Imagine asking the question literally in front of a mirror. Look at yourself and ask: "What does happiness mean to me?" or "Who do I think I am?" Pay attention to the emotions and thoughts that arise during this visualization. Then, write down what you felt and saw.

  • Journaling: In addition to the short reflections, keep a separate journal where you can elaborate further on your thoughts. This can be a space for longer reflections or moments when you feel that a question still lingers.

  • Mindfulness meditation: After answering a question, take time to meditate. Imagine that each question is a seed being planted in the ground. Use the meditation to make space for this seed to grow in the coming days.

  • Reflect with a friend: Once a week, share a question and your answer with a friend or loved one. Speaking your thoughts out loud can lead to new insights. Sometimes, you only truly understand what you've learned when you explain it to someone else.

  • Use symbolism: Find a symbol that can represent your answer to the day’s question. It could be an object, a color, a song, or even a scent. How does this symbol resonate with your feelings about the question?

  • Body awareness exercises: Some questions may evoke deep emotions. After answering a question, take a moment to notice how your body feels. Where is there tension? Where do you feel light and free? Write down what you observe and how it relates to your answer.
